Should I seal the roof instead of removing it?
Sealing is only ever considered for material that is intact, stable and unlikely to be disturbed. Roof sheeting sits in full weather, is walked on during maintenance and is usually the reason a renovation has stalled, so deteriorated or damaged roofing, and any roof due to be replaced or worked around, needs licensed removal instead.
How long does an asbestos roof removal take?
Most residential roofs are a one day job. Scale is less of a limit than access is: a commercial Super Six roof at Gymea ran to 380 square metres and came off in four hours, while a steeply pitched residential roof can take longer to make safe than it does to strip. Can I remove an asbestos roof myself?
